X-Box Surgery Successful, Malignant “Anchorman” DVD Removed

Imagine you’ve just found a steal of a deal on a full “Rock Band” set off of Craig’s List and, after setting it all up back in your apartment, you’re slapped by the cold hand of reality when your X-Box disc tray is stuck open. Such was my plight this past Sunday.
Since quasi-drastic times call for disproportionately rash measures, I decided to take matters in my own bumbling hands. I decided to just break into my X-Box myself after watching this pretty thorough how-to video, and surprisingly found I was able to dig in fairly easily. Once I got the casing off, I just had to pop open the DVD drive on the left there, and once I did out came a stuck Anchorman DVD … apparently I must have turned my X-Box upside down and it got caught in the top of the DVD drive. After putting everything back together and plugging it in, though, the tray closed more smoothly than a train on a buttered railroad. WHAMMY!
The process saved me from having to pay $99 to send the X-Box into Microsoft, since my machine was past warranty, but, most importantly, it gave me an excuse to put my LEGO man headlamp to good use. So, all in all, I would call it a resounding success.
Been giving some thought to splurging on a moped…seems like it’d be pretty fun.
Modern Day Polaroids!
This is a fantastic idea. You know all those instagram photos you upload from your phone? Soon you’ll be able to get them in polaroid form. The Kickstarter site has me really excited about this.
Great idea for those offices with major music sharers.
Gronkowski is the ultimate football knucklehead. I love it.
See This Film: “Starbuck”

Congratulations to “Starbuck” for winning the audience prize for best feature at the Palm Springs Film Festival! “Starbuck” is easily one of the most original movies I’ve seen in a while, with comedy and heart in spades.
The film follows a goofball 40-something David Wozniak tries to turn his life around in preparation for fatherhood, but as he soon finds out a few minutes into the movie, he’s already been a father 500 times over…via sperm donation. When 142 of his “children” file a class action lawsuit to have his identity revealed (his pseudonym being “Starbuck”), Wozniak vows to secretly help make his newly-discovered offspring’s lives for the better while retaining his anonymity. Hilarity ensues, but through his exploits David unwittingly discovers what it truly means to be a father.
I was lucky enough to be at the PSFF Screening, and the audience reaction was unbelievably positive, so it comes as no surprise that it won the award. The film is great, simply put, and I hope this is just one of many big things to happen for it. See it. Now!
